Stir-fry and rickety railing

Tonight we enjoyed a stir-fry in honor of Louis. Since rice is one of the main products of Hunan Province, we can be fairly sure our son isn't eating microwaved rice in a bag from Trader Joe's. But it was better than frozen pizza--the standard by which all dinners are compared.

Meanwhile, John is busy getting the house ready, doing all the projects we (he) won't have time for once Louis is here. The upstairs hallway has been beautifully painted and the shaky, scary railing will be replaced this weekend when John's parents come to visit Saturday. Note that Beansie is demonstrating just one of the railing's safety concerns.
