Ongoing Shopping for Louis

These days, waiting for Louis often involves shopping for Louis. While we were on the Eastern Shore for my cousin Meghan's wedding this weekend, we stopped at one of our favorite used bookshops, where we found ourselves in the children's section. One of the books we found is called The Cable Car and the Dragon--a great addition to our collection as we try to include books reflecting Chinese (in this case, Chinese-American) culture. Naturally John was enthusiastic about the cable car, too.

We also broke down and bought a new fridge, replacing the 25-year-old model that was just large enough to hold a couple slices of bread and a gallon of milk. Anticipating the different kinds of food we may have to have on hand for our 2-year-old son, we decided to invest in the fridge before we bring Louis home. The flyswatters on the door will be replaced with photos and drawings, of course, but the fridge looked rather bare. A photo of Louis is on the freezer. :)

  1. I like the door shelves. When Louis is older, you can put some of his favorites there where he can reach them easily. We never did that for Max, of course, mean parents that we are.
