A Year to Remember
Our 2009 actually started Jan. 4 when we received a referral for a handsome little boy named Lou Jun. Our year was dedicated to getting to China and to Louis. Just before the year ended, we flew to China, met our amazing son, and brought him home. Tonight as we were getting Louis ready for bed, and he was laughing hysterically at our stocking feet and diving again and again into his Baba's arms, I thought of how much he has enriched our lives and how blessed we are to be his parents.
We have so much to look forward to in the new year! We hope you and your family will have many blessings in 2010.
As we look back on the year, here is a photo of us in a German restaurant in Guangzhou.
And here is a video trying to capture the way John and Louis look at each other in their mocking seriousness.

Happy New Year, dear Buettner family!

Love the video! Happy New Year to your precious family. Isn't it wonderful to start the new year with our precious little ones home?
ReplyDeleteThank you! Happy New Year to all! Jennifer, if you send me your e-mail address, I can send you the photo I have of you, Tim, and Rinnah from the medical center.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that Louis was sort of an Americanization of his Chinese name. Did you know that Ewen's name came from his Chinese name? His Chinese name was Sun Zhewen. We dropped the "zh" and named him Ewen! That's so cool. Enjoy this year; it's gonna be great!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on Louis! Sarah just told me about your blog and I've read it all. I'm so happy for you and John - Happy New Year!
