Stuffing Suitcases

We are almost packed! Thank goodness for decent-sized carry-on bags and for these wonderful plastic bags that squish to let the air escape. I wasn't thrilled at the idea of packing a winter coat for Louis until I saw it without the air in it. Now it slides right into our luggage.

We went to our favorite local restaurant tonight and enjoyed one of our last crayon-less restaurant meals. :) It's hard to believe we'll finally meet Louis on Monday! We are terribly excited and overjoyed but also a bit tired and nervous and anxious that we'll forget something. I keep saying that all we need is our paperwork and then I find myself listing all the other things we need--passports, travelers checks, tickets, the camera, the camera cord, something to read on that long flight, and the list goes on and on. But we are making every effort to keep our bags light since we will be carrying them--and our 2-year-old son--through airports and in and out of cabs.

My parents and youngest sister will pick us up early Friday morning, and we will head over to the airport and off on the final leg of the most wonderful adventure of our marriage--and of our lives. We feel so fortunate to be making this trip together, and even more fortunate that our son will be coming home with us in just 17 days!
