Fatherly Fun

He's funny and goofy and likes Johnny Cash.

He does all the laundry and takes out the trash.

He always has time for a playground or train,

After some tub time, he lets his son run the drain.

There's nothing he wouldn't do for his dear son.

He's a father and pirate all wrapped into one...

 

So when Louis found out it was Baba's big day,



He wrote his own name--and then B-A-B-A.

Then we wrapped Baba's presents with scissors and tape,

And we cut a straight line--or another fine shape.

The present our son had to gift wrap by hand,

A truck full of toys they can use in the sand.

And though--to our Louis--there was no surprise,



Baba was quite impressed with its disguise.

But a much better gift than the ones he unwrapped...



Was we gave our dear Baba an afternoon nap.

 

And after a dinner with two friends, for fun...

We went to find ice cream, and Baba and son...

Talked between licks while the ice cream dripped down.

And Louis enjoyed the best Baba in town.
