A is for apples we picked just for fun...


B is for birthdays since Baba has one...

 

C is for cupcakes we just had to bake...


D is for diesel, though steam takes the cake...


E is for eating with Ewen, our friend...


F is for fun when our cousins descend...


G is for green pants, a favorite Seuss read...


H is for helping...


when Baba's in need...


I is for ice cream--yes, strawberry, please...


J is for Julia, who's still the bee's knees...


K is for kidding around all the time...


L is for listening to Gregory read rhyme...


M is for Mary...

...or making a mess...


N is for "No," which we freely express...


O's for October when weather is sweet...


P is for Paul...


and a play-outside treat...


Q is for quite a bit taller today...


R is for reading--a Seuss book, hooray!...


S is for sharing...


...and strawberry face...


T is for tasting the fruit, just in case...


U is for up on the hill for a game...


V is for very few shots we would frame...


W--walking with hands slightly sticky...


X you won't get, but it's for Uncle Ricky...


And Y is for yellow--that's John's favorite cake...


And Z is for zipping around with no break.

And what does it spell, at the end of the day?

A boy who's had food...

 

...and good friends...

...and great play....

who's the best gift for Baba on any birthday.

  1. Oh, my word!!! I LOVE it!!! I was going to suggest you turn it into a book using Snapfish or similar, until I saw the pic w/ me in it. haha! Still... if you could replace that pic, you should do it. What a great idea and rhyme.
